Choosing the Right Guitar Teacher for Your Child
When choosing a guitar teacher for your child you’ll want to be sure that the tutor you settle on is an appropriate person to be supervising children.
Peter Hincks, the musician behind Guitar Lessons MK has been fully CRB (now DBS) checked. He’s trained as a first aider and has years of experience teaching music to children and young adults.
During your child’s lessons you’re welcome to stay, observe or even participate in fact the more positive interest you show the more motivated your child will be to learn. If you’re unable to stay for the lesson your child may be safely left in Pete’s care until you return.

Lesson Structure
Most children’s lessons are individual 1-2-1 lessons and Pete will start teaching students from schooling age and above.Sometimes, children are not ready to go straight into chords, in which case they’ll begin on single string playing and then build up the techniques to include more strings until chord playing can be achieved.
You’ll be amazed how quickly your child will begin to pick up the basics with Pete’s unique style of teaching guitar.
Motivation is a huge part of playing the guitar – it is so important that the parents show a continued interest in their child’s playing. Your child need constant positive encouragement and praise.
